You have to laugh...

Ebay again, I'm afraid. I've been thinking of fitting halogen headlamps to the Minor so had a look at what's on offer. Standard 7" round conversion kits for Minis, Minors, Landrovers, etc., go for about 20 quid a set. There's even a chap doing them with a Buy-it-now price of £22.33. Which means the guy with a set currently running at 56 pounds is doing pretty well. The key to his success is the use of the words "Lotus Elan" in the heading. Clever chap!

Just goes to show you - check the retail price before you buy anything on ebay.

Sheer madness, and if you check the seller's completed listings, he makes a habit of listing them with a Buy-it-now price of 8.99.

I remember seeing a pair of good s/h front indicator lenses go for 35 quid last year, available at a club stand at a fair for about £2.50. And there was a Burlen catalogue a while ago that went for at least a tenner more than Burlen sell them.

Makes me want to invest in engine mounts, lenses and booklets, it really does :)

I know at least one person who buys boxes of miscellaneous bits at autojumbles and flogs them all off individually on eBay. Usually makes money, though you need to be able to identify the bits you're selling.
