Okay car is a 1980 firebird and the engine is,. and I m going by what the guy who sold it told me is a 1977 Camaro z28 350, from what I can tell the carb (#17057202) is from a 77 or chev truck 350. Eventually this motor is being swapped out of this car anyways but for now I m just gonna rebuild this carb or find one that will fit on it for the time being. Any suggestions (and yes I know the standard answer to that is put a poncho engine in lol)

Nothing wrong with a Chevy 350 like that, just doesn't belong in a Pontiac.

Yes, off the top of my head, that would be the original Q-jet for that vintage

350. The 17057 in the tag # supports it.

I would go through that carburetor soup to nuts. Take the tag # with you to the parts store to reference the parts you need. Get a kit, choke pull offs, choke stat and float. Service it really good, make sure you epoxy the wells as they usually leak and with a good tech at the helm, this machine should run very well.

There's nothing wrong with that LM1 vintage 350 you have, it's just a bit smogged up. It can be made to run with the right guy at the helm :).
