Quadrajet

Quick question for our gurus.. Any chance you can tell me from a number on the carb whether it has the hot air choke or not?. I ve looked myself but cant seem to find any places that specifically tell the carbs specs. Thanks guys.. carb number is 7045229

Wouldn't be electric that old. Looks like a mid 70's Q-jet, which would be hot air choke.

Basically what I thought too when I was buying it... as it comes up as this......Rochester R-4 7045229 74-77 Chev /GMC/Truck . When I received the carb it didnt have a choke on it... just in front of the vacuum break, theres a tube coming from the carb but no hot air choke. Was just curious if there were any sites out there that gave breakdowns of a qjets specs. I m rebuilding the one on the car right now so I need something to just place on there for the time being... couldnt run any worse lol. Thanks Joe

Buy a rebuilding kit for that at any parts store. The instructions will have all the adjustment specs for it.
