i had a 90 S-10 with 2.8 with 5 speed it ran 18 at 63mph in the 1/4 with

At least you're out there enjoying the races at a track and off the street! Who cares if your car won't keep up to a stock Honda Civic. If you plan on building a fast car, you may as well go for a 350 (5.7L). They are abundant, cheap and far easier than a 305 to extract low-cost horsepower. You can expect to see times in the mid 13's to mid 14's and only the Turbo Charged, NOS packing, little tuners cars will be able to keep up. At least you will have the satisfaction of knowing that your entire car with the new

350 cost less to buy and build than they put into their engine mods.
