Idle

My (German) Explorer Limited 99 shows in summer a idle of about 500 rpm. In winter it's about 600-700 rpm. Even when the engine is really hot it's about 100-200 revolution higher than in summer. The problem is that the whole car gets in resonance at about 650rpm making any stop at a trafic light a real pain during winter.

Is there somewhere a temperature sensor sensing the outside air temperature?
