The front headlight covers on my 96 Sable have gotten foggy and losttheir original crystal clarity - to the point I think that they are aDANGER. At night the light is half as bright as other cars on theroad. Didn't FORD realize that this would happen? Probably poorquality materials that couldn't tolerate solar U-V light. Glass wouldhave not resulted in this serious problem. Personally I think this isa RECALL issue.Anyway, is there a simple way of solving this problem? I've got a goodselection of wetsand paper, buffer etc. but I'm not sure how toproceed.Or would it work to just spray clear paint over the lenses?
