Veh: 1999 Mercury Villager. Just bought it. Problem: Cupholders in dash don't actually hold cups. What's going on? Inscription right there on the dash says that you push them in to adjust them. But when you push them, they only snap back into their former position (completely open) which is far to wide for most cups and will cause your drinks to eject whenever you hit the brakes or make a sharp turn.
Before I give up and buy a center console, anyone know a fix? Or is there a trick to pushing these cupholders?
