Oil light flickering

Nov 20, 2003 1 Replies

Greetings all. This problem just came up after a massive rainstorm. 1995 Taurus SE, Vulcan engine, 64,000 miles. After going through a rather large "splasher" puddle, the oil light began to flicker. When at a stop, it glows steady then flickers and goes out under mild acceleration. Oil level is full, changed ever 3000 miles. Could this be a problem in the sending unit? Today was dry and still the same. Thanks in advance,

Bill in Baltimore
