On a 1994 Taurus wagon (3.8 litre)
-- Long-term warning: the battery went flat in 10 or 12 days without use.
-- Short-term event: the engine lamp: (under the hood) failed, wires found corroded: so my mechanic friend cut the connector with wires off a junked Ford.
- Replaced engine lamp: no light.
- Also no dashboard clock and no radio. Everything else seems to run OK (ignition, starter, headlights, power windows, WS wipers etc).
- Removed engine lamp and clamped wires. Fuses all look OK
- Still no dashboard clock and no radio.
Any bright ideas?
