Wow, it takes real iron stones to say that plunging sales, mass blue collar employee buyouts and white collar layoffs are signs everything is going great. The GM PR machine is working overtime trying to convince the world that things are going great.
Didn't the Captain of HMS Titanic say something similar-just before she went down :-)
Let's not be so pessimistic as to discount anything that might smack of being in any way positive. That is unfair, bull-headed, empty-headed nay saying, and dangerous to GM's future.
The combination of GM management incompetence and UAW greed has gotten them both in a massive bind, but no good comes of ignoring the things that they are beginning to do right (and have done right).
Perhaps you are right, but launching a "PR offensive" to trumpet the fact that sales are falling just begs to get the raspberry treatment.
