ARE YOU KIDDING? its nothing like a mazda, Toyota made the car. it features the yamaha made 1.8l vvti engine. TOYOTA MAKES THE CAR. 95% gm made the rims for the pontiac...thats the 5%...Its that exact same thing as the matrix, with only a different body.

the base model vibes are corollas and the GT model is the celica gts now, the best thing about the car is on base models (VVT-I), you can get a supercharger for $2k that adds 30% more power, making it beat the civic SI hatckback off the line with ease. however, the base can be a bit noisy on the higher rpms...eg: high driving. but the engine is STRONG and very reliable.

I own a fully loaded 2003 Vibe GT with the VVTL-I 1.8L 180hp engine (Celica GT-S). on my car, i get anywhere from 28-35mpg on the highway and 25-30 in the city, an automatic has better mileage than mine, just dont beat on it.

I know ALL the pros and cons about this car and all its models, the only trouble i had with mine was the window resonators on all 4 windows went in sequence, that its warrantied.

if you want to know more about the vibe and on what it can do, or proformance parts for it...go here
