now, the best thing about the car is on base models (VVT-I), you can get a
supercharger for $2k that adds 30% more power, making it beat the civic SI
hatckback off the line with ease.
however, the base can be a bit noisy on the higher rpms...eg: high driving.
but the engine is STRONG and very reliable.
I own a fully loaded 2003 Vibe GT with the VVTL-I 1.8L 180hp engine (Celica
on my car, i get anywhere from 28-35mpg on the highway and 25-30 in the city, an
automatic has better mileage than mine, just dont beat on it.
I know ALL the pros and cons about this car and all its models, the only trouble
i had with mine was the window resonators on all 4 windows went in sequence,
that its warrantied.
