Paging Hyundai-tech for a radiator fan issue

2002 Hyundai SantFe 2.7 litre. Auto trans.

I just discovered the electric Radiator Fan (on the driver side) which is placed behind the radiator....is pushing the air thru the radiator instead of pulling it thru . Looking at the pitch of the fan blades, it looks like its supposed to be a Puller fan. With it pushing , the very hot air from the Radiator is being pushed onto the a/c Condensor which cant be right. I dont know if this was a factory error or if the fan motor somehow reversed its operation.

In any case, is this fan reversible do you know so it pulls instead of pushes ?

Thanks.

Both fans are intended to blow the air from the front of the vehicle rearward. I cannot tell whether this is what you are describing.

If they do not operate in this manner, they will work to counteract the normal air flow during driving.

Thats what i thought about both fans. The driver side fan is not blowing from front of the vehicle, rearward ... its blowing toward the front of the vehicle . I do believe at one time it worked correctly, so, i wonder what happened for it to reverse itself ???

I found a brand new complete Radiator Fan Assembly on Ebay for a mere $58 so that should get me going. Thanks.

Is it possible for you to reverse the wires and run the fan "backwards"

I tried reversing the two wires but still ran backwards . I suspect something happened to the stator of the motor to make it permanently run the wrong way. Oh well, my new radiator fan assembly should arrive shortly .
