Cam Follower Job

I'm about ready to do the cam follower job on the 3.2L. Looking for any tips or suggestions on the job. It looks pretty straight forward from what
I have researched. What I'm worried about is rotating the engine to find the guilty lifter. I really don't like bumping the ignition but if that's the way I must do it, I will. I'll be sure to disconnect the ignition cables.
I don't see anything about a gasket on the cam covers. Is that a rubber seal or is it a sacrificial gasket?
