Hi, Today the tailpipe on my 99 Trooper fell out of the muffler. 46,000 easy miles , no off road miles and less than five years old. 3.5 gas. Is this normal and any warranty on this? Thanks, Ron

How long is your 99's warranty? If it is past the normal or if past any extended warranty then the only other warranty left is the federally mandated emissions warranty. For models 1995 and newer this warranty extends to 8 years or 80,000 miles. If your vehicle will not pass your states emissions requirements the manufacturer is required to make needed repairs. You may check your manual for more specifics on this law to see if it applies.
