Hello group:
I have a 2003 S-type with 6K miles. Today while pulling into a parking space the brakes failed and I stuck the car in the parking space directly in front of the space in which I was intending to stop. It happened so quickly there was no time to pull the emergency brake. I would estimate I was traveling about 5mph, but fast enough that damage was done to both cars.
Strangely enough, the only other problem we have experienced with the car (2K miles) was the electric parking brake malfunctioned by indicating that it was engaged (when it was not) and had to be replaced.
I wonder if these problems are related? Has anyone else experienced similar problems?
