I was looking at a 1991 XJ40 and really like the large trunk space.
I'm curious, what year did the XJ40 (1992-1994) trunk space become smaller?

I believe that the changes came in 94 if I recall correctly. That year a front passenger air bag was used in place of the jockey box, and a little tray was provided under the passenger seat. Also many of the electrical system components were moved to the trunk and then covered by a false floor. Hence the smaller trunk.
