just noticed yesterday that there is an excessive amount of play in the shifter(trans, not 4x4) while switching gears. even while in gear the stick wobbles around quite a bit. I dont know if it happened all at once, but i just started noticing it yesterday. Someone told me loose mounting bolts on the t-case? any help would be great!

Not quite sure of the exact symptoms you're describing but if you don't mean a "sloppy" feel to the shifter and the stick is just moving around a lot on its own, it's probably either a broken motor mount or tranny mount.
