Is anyone certain which year Cherokee seats are compatible with the '96 Cherokee Classic? These are not power seats. Are any years of the Grand Cherokee compatible? I would like to find some stock seats that match the color scheme. But, I have no idea how broad a range will fit without modifications. Thanks.

Anything is possible. The question is how much work are you willing to put into the project. Metal fab/welding/etc.
I can get the basic dimensions of the 93ZJ power seats. Hole centers offset. (more or less, since it's going to be with a tape measure, steel level, and mark-I eyeballs.

Did you ask at NAXJA.org? Do a search there, before you ask. I think somebody found some ZJ seats that fit the 96 XJ, but I'm not sure.
