There is a freeze plug on the back of the motor. It could be coming from there.
Bill, I just had the first chance to look at my old engine sitting in my garage in the daylight, and it has been rebuilt, much to my surprise.
Mine had the cam changed as part of it's rebuild because the bottom right top side 'freeze' plug is new an has sealant on it.
See my 'what kind of cam in my 86 post'.
You had a gas washed engine and your cam looks stock still?????
For that money they didn't replace the cam bearings???????
Please say I am wrong......
