Mike,

I believe he can put the grill or front clip from an 87+ model on it, to fit a 4.0 engine. This might make enough room for a V8. It seems like a lot of work though. There is a lot of information on the Advance Adapters web site, including the 3.8 GM V6 conversion, but it doesn't look as if they have actually done one.

This engine comessupercharged in some vehicles. A guy in Littleton, CO put a GM V8 diesel inone, after finding out all the fixes to get decent service life out of theengine. He bolted it up to a stock AX5 transmission though, which he had torebuild every 40,000 miles or so. Earle

I believe it is a firewall issue more than a front clip issue. The front clips are the same length as far as I remember about them.
