Ol' Jeepnstein is getting a little rough around the edges these days. Other than the usual mechanical aghes and pains and a raggedy top that must be replaced before winter it's nothing I can't handle.
One thing I'm puzzled about, however, is the durned sound deck. The sub is cutting out, more often than not these days. Has anyone had a problem with one before? It's been thoroughly abused with weather, vibration, dirt, and volume levels that border on dumb. Is it time for a little barnyard engineering on that tasty little plastic box?
It's in a 97 TJ with a stock radio setup. There's not much sense in doing much more in a Jeep that lives outdoors with the doors and windows off.
Thanks guys,
J.
