trailer Wiring?

Hello Group I have a snowmobile trailer just like this one

formatting link

It seems everytime I'm loading the sleds on it, it is dark out. I'm toying with an idea to put a cargo/spot light on the inside of the salt shield. Anyone have any recomendations to add power for the light to this trailer? Is there a different class of wiring harness that would provide power etc..

Thanks in advance Frank

That trailer likely has the flat-4 connector. You could use the "park light" circuit to supply a low power clear lens fixture. If you want something brighter like a fog lamp you will need a higher power auxiliary circuit normally provided in the 6-8 prong connectors on the newer tow vehicles. You failed to state your tow vehicle.

What about a couple of those bright LED's on a toggle switch from the running lights? They are low power and pretty bright.

I just have a halogen hand held from Canadian Tire that plugs into the cigarette lighter with about 10' of wire for that kind of stuff. I like the mobility of it vs fixed lights. I sit it on the roof lots.
