Hi there,
I got a new Picanto in November, and have to say I've been very impressed with it so far, particularly at the price. However, last night I was at a petrol station (oh, this is an international group - that's a 'gas' station for anyone in the US :) ), and I accidentally walked into the little flap/door that conceals the petrol cap, when it was open, pushing against its inside (forcing it open further than it would normally go), and rather than resisting the force, or coming off completely at the hinge, the door/flap just snapped in half! Judging by the broken edge, this part is made of some kind of (evidently brittle) ceramic material, which seems very strange. Hope the rest of the car isn't!
Has anyone else encountered this strange breakage? If so, were you able to get a replacement flap easily? Do you think this would come under guarantee? I know I walked into it but I don't think it should have broken!
Cheers,
