Adjust hand brake

I have adjusted the brakes on my series 3, stage 1 Land-Rover with great sucess. How can I tell if I have over adjusted the handbrake as the drive shaft is engaged all the time. Brett

Chock front wheels, jack up rear wheels, release park brake, see if you can spin driveshaft.
