My happy Disco Kato has been recieving some attention after the alarm system decided to misbehave tripping for no reason and the latest setting while on the move watch the traffic pull over. I bought a new fangled unit about a month ago and put off fitting it ( and a nice set of spots ) until I worked out the wiring on the old unit. Well I've taken it off plus about 30 yds of redundant wiring.Wired in the new system and tested it ( its a talker I'm looking forward to getting behind an idiot in traffic and tripping the alert - "System Armed" just need the add on rocket launcher) and everything was going well until I only needed to fit a new LED indicator in the instrument binnacle. I've always been critical about the quality of the wiring but the switch gear has a death wish Kato has the audio remote switches ( redundant I have a sony player) which self destructed faster than a suicide bomber as soon as I pulled the cover off the mounts . So its all back together and secure so I can sleep soundly till the milky brushes against Kato at 3 am now I have to work out why the replacement door lock motor on the passenger side will open but not lock without encouragement.
