Electric seats in 1990 RR Classic

The driver's (electric,non-memory) seat base moves happily back and forth, up and down. Things become interesting when altering the lean angle of the back. From upright it reclines evenly on both sides for about 3 or 4 inches (distance travelled by top of seat back), whereupon the outer side stops moving but the inner side continues to lean back, twisting the back of the seat. The twist is removed when the back is raised and the inner side becomes level with the outer side and then both sides rise evenly.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
