Has anyone removed/replaced the HID bulb on a GS430? (it may be the same as a GS300 - I don't honestly know)
Anyone with a source for new bulbs?

No warranty - I am over 50,000 miles - which I think is the warranty for US vehicles - am I barking?!

My Lexus dealer told me the HID lights would last 'the life of the vehicle'. If mine burned out I'd go back and ask them for a replacement, warranty or not. Most dealers will comp you the replacement rather than lose you as a customer.
It wouldn't be, and I'm not suggesting that it is.
What damaged lens?

YES - many thanks - it did help - I have yet to *actually* do the job, but at least I now know how and what to do with the parts
