Some roads near me have been re-surfaced in the last 12 months and were superb. A real credit to the guys who do the task. However, the rot has started with subsidence and damage where there are manhole covers.
Does anyone have an explanation for this? Is it poor workmanship in the construction of the manhole shaft or the foundations of the cover?
The first winter seems to start the problems.
