In the recent spell of bad weather I 'kerbed' the car sliding down a hill at minimum speed.. 20mph. The steering immediately went quite stiff. When stationary the steering feels quite normal but when it motion it goes stiffer in what seems like proportion to speed. Noticed level of Power steering fluid had dropped to MIN on reservoir. Now topped up and not stable.Any ideas. Also if the power steering rack is fatally damaged any ideas what a new one would cost or how much I'd have to pay from breakers.
