Hi, me again. OK new cam shaft's in engine rebuilt so thanks for all your help.
Right, it turns over fine but doesn't fire. If I put a petrol soaked rag up against the inlet, it fires up straight away on the fumes, but then dies away. How can I check if the injectors are working or can anyone think of any other reason why it's not starting up. I rechecked the wiring loom behind the inlet manfiold all no probs. Just to re-cap

Pushed the bleed nipple as car was turning over, loads of fuel.
Ok, you need to find out first if the injectors are being driven.
Connect a small speaker in series with a suitable resistor - a 60W mains bulb will do, and wire it across the injector.
OK it's firing on three cylinders now, just started this morning.
No1 Cylinder isn't firing. Changed the plugs over with one of the others. Nothing. The plug is wet with fuel, and when I turn it over with out the plug I can see fuel spray coming out of the plug hole. The plug when connected to the the distributor and rested on the chassis, sparks like a good un. Took it for a slow drive down the road and back, nowt.
Any ideas?
