Aftermarket goodies and the jobs of the future,

Tonight my driver-side head light did not want to go up or down. It was just hanging there almost completely down, though shining. After I drove home with one headlight, I had a good look at it and eventually found that there was a weird bracket lying next to the activator arm, blocking it. It was the bracket of my Wiz hood lift kit, that disappeared when I managed to break it off about

6 months ago when installing the R-Speed replacements. (The rivets that held it were really tough.) I also found a mysterious light bulb in a socket with terminals attached, not hooked up to anything, there.

Remove light bulb, bracket. Put activator arm back on plastic grommet that is no longer correctly snapped on. Perfect again. :)

Really, with all these aftermarket goodies, I am getting a very solid mechanic's experience. There is always something to fix. I will be quite OK if they ship my job to India. Nobody is going to drive to India to have their car fixed! I hope Bush is listening. Doubt it, of course, but anyway:

Providing aftermarket goodies at tax payer expense = Training for Jobs of the Future!
