In the Washington D.C. area you can get new PRHT's for under $25k. I have a friend who just bought a 1,700 mile certified used 2010 PRHT for $21.7k. He passed up a new one offered at $23.7K

Wow, that's pretty interesting! I'm liking that car more and more. Still out of my price range for a goof-around / weekend car. Damn!

Yes I am. I've put 16" Enkei's on it. I reluctantly got all season tires, but I sure needed them this week! I've pretty much mastered the 6-speed. I still plan to put the 3.63 gears in at some point. I've got a mechanic who claims he can do it for a lot less than the $1000 I figured on. I still find the lack of room between the clutch and dead pedal exasperating, though. What could they have been thinking

Not sure if this meant entirely in jest or not. I believe I read somewhere that the average Japanese height is nearly the equal of that of Americans nowadays, but I suppose they still may tend to have smaller feet. Or in this case the evidence would be for thinner feet.

Maybe they wear narrower shoes. Even if you do have small feet, something like Doc Martins can be a challenge to fit between the pedals of a small car.

How do you say; "tongue in cheek" Could be some truth to it I guess but surely everything done to the MX5 is as much for the US market as any market so, just a tight fit I guess.
