2 Problems

I have a 1984 500 SEL with two problems that I'm trying to solve. the first is that it has the hydroneumatic suspension that in the past would slowly lower itself if not driven for several days, which was not that severe of a problem. About three months ago it started to ride extremely stiff after rising up. this problem never went away and a couple of weeks ago I had the bumper pull out after being backed into and now it will not rise at all (my wife suggested a dose of Viagra in the tank would fix it, yep she's a funny girl.) The second problem is that the fan quit working on the heat/air system all of a sudden, the compressor does not engage, nothing except the air is diverted to the proper vents when the proper buttons are pushed, I've checked every fuse with no luck. Can someone give me some suggestions on where to get started? Can the hydroneumatic system be changed out to standard struts? (at a reasonable cost)

Thanks Dan
