Glow plug liight?

Sep 11, 2008 2 Replies

The glow plug preheat light on my '92 300D recently stopped lighting during what should have been preheat but comes on *after* the engine starts and glows for about 15 seconds. Any words of wisdom?

Thanks!

one or more of your plugs are not working __________________________________________ Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

That means you got problem on your glow plug system. Do a resistance check on all your glow plugs. Make sure the fuse strip is good and has power...

It can be any conbination of:

  1. Glow plug(s)
  2. Glow plug relay
  3. Fuse
  4. Poor ground strap.
