Anyone know of an aftermarket LSD for this beast? Kleeman and Quaife make them for V8 and V12 Mercs but no joy for us guys whose needs are limited to winter and wet weather driving. From what I've heard of MB's ASR the last thing I want is to retrofit one of those into my car.JD

LSD is not really necessary. My diesel doesn't have it either. I prefer not to have it... Parking is much much much easier without LSD. Turning radius is also much much much smaller without LSD.If tire slipping on slipper road is your issue, then get good tires... nothing else will solve the problem.

Thanks! According to my W124 Bible the only thing available was ASD which is electromechanical and as such I'm guessing would be a PITA to retrofit. Does the fact that I'm dealing with diesel diff ratios impact this at all? Forgive my ignorance but who is Dave Miemann and how do I reach him?

No joy. There's no Miemann.com and gooling "dave miemann" nets only this thread and an old thread on the Mercedes shop forum.
