Vent air-flow issue

Sep 23, 2005 2 Replies

All,

Recently I replaced my AC blower motor. The new one sounds like it is working it's little coils off, but I am not getting much air-flow (High speed give low speed air flow). I have verified the vacuum system is working properly in sending the air where it is needed, I just can't figure out if there is another area I should look? Is there another deflector that may be blocking the airflow or could the motor possibly be installed in the wrong direction? I installed it with the wiring connections i the same place as the old one, and nothing scrapes.

Oh, yea. It is an 89 300E.

Thanks,

Thom

Hmpf.. I never thought about the wires being crossed, I thought I might have placed it in there backwards, since it is pretty evenly spaced on either side.

This was an aftermarket fan, but it was by no means cheap. I'll give the wire swap a try.

Thanks
