Hi, I have a 1998 Carisma 1.6 with a 4g92 16V SOHC. Does anyone knows if it has an automatic valve tuning system? I've asked in several places and some say it does, but others say that the automatic tuning was put only in the 4g93 1.8 DOHC engines.

My 1996 SOHC 4G93 1834 cc has manually adjusted valve clearance (thats `valve lash' in the USA ?)
Just pop the rocker cover off - you can easily see the manual adjuster locknuts at the valve stem end of the rocker arms.

Are those roller rockers? If so, are they mounted on a shaft?
I'm looking to modify an G54B engine and use mechanical adjustable roller rockers.
Yes the rockers are shaft mounted and have ball (?) type races to provide the roller rocker mechanism.
(Re the ? they look like ball races, but are shielded - so you can't actually see the rolling element)
