could anyone tell me if there is a master ground for the instrument panel? i am having some wierd readings from my fuel and temp guages (only guages except for the speedo). actually the fuel reads always empty and the temp seems very low. not sure where these are grounded also the stereo does not get good resception at all, i need to be really close to town to here any music or voices...

No "master ground", but various grounds about the harness. You could start with in the engine compartment. There's a harness ground (multiple black wires) that goes (or should go) to the block. There's also at least one, perhaps two 8G wires from the block to the body. There's one near the battery, just behind the headlamp.
RHS kick plate under the dash: the ECU has a bunch of black wires grounded to the chassis.
Under the gauge area: Look for any wires to ground.
Loosed all these, then do then back up.
Also, out your gauge pod, and clean the connector blocks with WD40.
