New zafira diesel minireview

Dec 25, 2007 0 Replies

Currently in a Zaf 1.9 diesel thing, not sure how many horsies but quite nippy and a six speed box. Toyota being fixed after milk float incident.

Drives like the old Zaf, dull but safe. Low profile tyres give it more grip than power, 6 speed box means >33mph/1000 in top.

Engine is quiet inside the car but for whine at top end. Vibration through clutch pedal at low rpm is a bit intrusive. Very light and revvy engine - most petrol like, good for heel/toe downchanges as it blips well and the pedals are set at right heights but a bit far apart. No go below 2000 rpm, not much after 4500, so lots of gearchanging.

Not bad really. Handbrake handle is silly. Stereo is junk.
