Paging the Dulux car painters

Lol! I just wondered if you'd put any more effort into it than that, that's all. I might give it a go, depending on how empty my life gets in the near future.

No, no no. It was genuine. I'm sort of interested in 'unconventional' finished for cars and that. As I posted, I had a mate who rag rolled a transit with emulsion - looked like you'd imagine. But gloss being gloss (solvents and all that), I wondered what sort of finish it would give with some sanding and things, compared to a 'real' paint job.

An easily marked/removed finish I would say. A quick journey and your bonnet is going to look like sandpaper. :o)

Oh right hehe :-) I imagine the finish will never be anything but 'a bit shit' to be honest!

This is a possibility, yes. Hmmm... Sandpaper... Now there's a finish for a car!

Yep. I wonder if one could tile a car?!

When I last visited the states in the mid to late 1980s I was told there had been a craze for flocked car finishes after I left in 1982. The guy that mentioned it said he thought it looked quite good until it started to wear.

Ah, I was thinking more along the lines of larger kitchen tiles for the top half of the car, perhaps a stripe of mirrored tiles and some lovely York stone flags for the bottom half. And a dado rail as a bump- strip.
