Irrelevent. I manage with no issue.
Why? It's a 50 MPH limit.....
Unless you'd been doing the posted 50MPH limit......

Where?
See below where you say you were exceeding the limit...
50+ which is ABOVE the posted 50...Partly because you were speeding in the first place in the 50 section and apparently drive a car so s**te, that braking would see you career off the road.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Stop driving NOW.
The only thing dangerous here seems to be your lack of driving ability.
YOU MEAN THE PICTURE WITH THE BIG F*CK OFF 30 LIMIT SIGN ABOVE A 300 YARD COUNTDOWN WARNING MARKER BEFORE YOU GET TO THE BEND????????
Obviously by pure luck and empty cameras if you managed to miss all the signs and countdown signs in this example.
Despite admitting in: Message-ID: "You come round the bend doing 50+ mph and then bang a 30 mph sign"
..even though you said the limit was 50....
PARK YOUR CAR UP NOW. I can get from 50 to 30 in that distance IN A FORTY FOUR TONNE LORRY. I can get down from 50 to zero if I really haul anchor.
Your car is obviously defective.
WTF do you think the warning countdown markers are for?
But what I am saying is I never used the brakes at all, I used the car to decelerate from 50, obviously in doing so never dropped to the required 30 mph as my speed indicated was 41mph.
I do not know what speed I was doing before I hit the 30 mph advisory but I would imagine it was in the region of 50 mph. I could have been doing 70mph as you suggested, this is due to the fact i was still officially on the M4 with Metal barriers seperating the traffic, only after looking the next day did i see a 1x 50mph sign that was approx 6 inches high, posted on a lampost
It looks alot different when your travelling at speed, rather then seeing some pictures posted in stationary traffic.
Have you seen the pictures? They even give you a 300 yard warning of the start of the 30 limit.
Yes the response to them was what you removed from my post above.
Ok, i only asked what people thought, thanks for the replies.
Sorry, the point I was making was that the Welsh actually overdo speed limit signage so I can't understand why you make the point you do.
+++APPLAUSE+++
Better to not hit the sign.
That's not the M4.
What the f*ck for? Despite have 300 metres of warning signs of the impending limit, he ran through a camera some distance AFTER it over
10MPH higher. What sympathy does such an obviously blithering idiot deserve?
The prosecution will love you if you take it further :)
The point I was making is that there are far worse examples of placing cameras just after speed limit changes (both closer to the change and with less signage).
Or are you talking about the Brunstrom point? A police officer who's single minded approach to policing and enforcement by speed camera lead to the UK's largest increase in burglary in the last 20 years.
What has that got to do with me avoiding the entire country?
Because your opinion of the entire country is coloured by a lunatic Chief Constable in a small part of it.
South Wales enforcement is nowhere near as bad as it is up North - quite possibly because there are several different forces involved in the policing.
The only area in South / Mid Wales that's OTT, IMHO, is the area controlled by Neath & Port Talbot council where they stick 20mph limits everywhere there are a couple of houses.
No A lunatic Chief Constable and a bloke called Steve who can't go two posts without resulting to swearing. I must try to remember why it is I let you out of my kill file, maybe it was simply to taunt you?
Should you have been doing 50 round a blind bend, when the countdown signs *well before the bend* clearly indicated both a 30mph limit coming up *and* conditions warranting a 30 limit?
No.
You were going too quick, you weren't paying attention to the conditions, so take it as a relatively cheap lesson and be more careful next time.
They overdo signage *sometimes* and they overdo cameras *most of the time*.
In the gap between the two, if you get caught it might be unlucky.
In this case, the *advisory* signs that you ignored because they were 'only advisory' were actually *advising* you of an imminent 30mph limit.
You see how that works now?
