SAAB turbo Catless downpipe

Was wondering if anyone had any experience concerning replacing a cat with a straight through 3" pipe that will connect to a 3" exhaust? The downpipe in question has a two lambada sensors either side of the cat to feed info through to the ECU. The ECU has been remapped to a stage

1 and the car is a 96 Saab NG900 FPT currently producing 225 bhp. I have done a little research and there might be an issue concerning the second 02 sensor after the cat. It seems i might get a CEL reading on my SID if the ECU expects a second O2 sensor to produce a meaningful signal. I can think of a few ways to get better spool up but i was wondering if anyone had tried it. The car will be used off road and boost preasure can be adjusted for the lack of back preasure in the exhaust.

Those guys should be able to help you out.

I know a few guys on there have tuned NGs. What about getting the downpipe drilled and a boss welded on for the second Lambda sensor instead of having to run with a CEL?

Removing the Cat will immediately generate the MIL as the ECU will no longer see the second o2 sensor giving the right signal since the cat is missing.

You will need another custom remap, or ignore the MIL if you run with a bypass pipe.

A racing cat would be the way to go for about 300notes, but to be honest (and I havent seen a Saab downpipe) I doubt its that restrictive.
