$3000.00's FOR HORSES

How many miles are on the car? What condition is the drivetrain in? If you've got $3,000 to blow.. I'd look into supercharging the car... maybe

6-9psi intercooled. It's a 302 & I know that blowers for 302's are generally less expensive than those for 281's.. check

(DO NOT GET ELECTRICSUPERCHARGER LOL!). I'd look into a Vortech or Paxton supercharger for thatprice range. Avoid Powerdyne!! If you can fork over more, I'd say Kenne-Bellsupercharger hands down. If supercharging isn't the route you want to go... there are several engine options you have (others will chime in). You could also build the suspension quite a bit. Or, my favorite option, send me the money =).

112,000 could be young.. or could be old. Did you buy the car new? Did you buy it used? If used, how many miles were on the car when you bought it? Which oil & filter have you been using & in what increment have you been changing the oil & filter?

Why would you use fram oil filters with Mobil 1? Get a compression test done & that'll help see if supercharging is "safe" or not. What are you going to be using this car for? Daily driver? Strip only? What?

If you have the money to spend, by all means, supercharge it! the 3.73's are a good idea. the guys will tell you about subs and braces.

Depending on the type of blower you select, and what you plan on using the car for, you may not want to go with 3.73s.

A Roots type + street tires + 3.73s = equals lots of tire smoke.

Fram filters are crap. They used to be #1 but now they are built cheap and the quality is really bad. Stay away from them. If you don't believe me then do a Google search on oil filter benchmarks. You will be surprised.

No...I am not a disgruntled Fram employee.

3k to spend and 112K miles on the clock, I think I would go for a high-performance rebuild. Definitely wouldn't blow it at this time or you just might blow it.

Roots or twin-screw at that! 3.73's + street tires = lots of tire spin for me right now... damn tires are bald. I need new ones, but can't afford 'em. I'm gonna save up a bit to get some real good ones this time around.

Can someone tell me what should be the first few steps taken towards adding power to a 94 gt convertable. I have a very few goodies already and looking at dropping around $3000.00 in the next 2 weeks on the car. I currently have a cold air intake, 40 series flowmaster's, mac headers, and this week looking at 373's installed. All advice is greatly appreciated.

Sorry, I got 112,000 miles on the car. As for the drivetrain, I don't know. All that I can say is I haven't had any problems out of the car.

74,320 miles on the car when pursued. I change the oil out at 3000 miles and use mobil 1 oil plus pham filters.

I don't even think NITROUS beats a blower for making big horsepower gains...

The car is a daily driver, sometimes; 1 or 2 days out of the week. I will change the oil filter now that I know. All information is appreciated.

Ignore Bev's post. He/she is a dumbshit. Get a compression test done first.
