93' Stalling

I have a 93' Ford Mustang with a four cyl. with eight plugs and fuel injected...when I start up and start to drive with a cold engine the car will want to stall and it sounds like its also back firing...any idea's... also would a bad map sensor affect transmission shifting....thanks....

Four cylinder engine..... with 8 spark plugs? WOW.

Yeah, they went to a dual plug configuration with the later 2.3L motors in an attempt to improve either performance, emissions, or both.

What codes are you getting? How long has it been since you've changed the timing belt?

A bad MAP sensor will adversely affect engine operation. Did you get diagnostic codes indicating the MAP sensor was out of spec?

8 plugs not funny just Nissan. The second is just tring to get a cleaner burn for emissions
