Insurance settlement- What to buy?!

Well, I'm looking @ a sizeable settlement from the guy who hit me, well, his insurance company anyway. I'm planning on paying the bills and finishing the resto on my '66. I'd also like to pick up a '69-'70 Sportsroof as a daily driver. I'm wanting fuel efficiency first and handling second. What'll work best? EFI 5.0, 4.6 modular swap, EFI 351W. I want the most for the least. Duh, don't we all?

Coilovers on the front? Rack & Pinion swap? 9" rear or conservative 8"?

What would be the best thing to do with a '69-70 Sportsroof to turn it into a great daily driver for around $8K. The car itself will cost ~$9-$12K and I'd like to keep it around $20K total. Assume the car already has good paint, otherwise it'll be another ~$3-5K.

Personally, I'd stay original on a 69 Fastback.

If you really need to, I'd suggest going with a 5.0 EFI setup for the best MPG.

Forget about a 4.6 modular swap. WAY too expensive and PITA.
