My wife and I went to the Steeda Stampede in Pompano Beach, Florida last Saturday and had a great time. My wife entered a drawing at the Motorcraft booth and won a die cast 1/18 scale model of a 2005 Mustang GT fast back. She was told by the Motorcraft people that the silver fast back she had won was the first official model that will be sold later in the year but is now only for promotion.

You mean the Silver Mustang GT concept car, not the production 2005 Mustang. I've had one on order for a few months through diecastmuscle.com and will be receiving it sometime mid-November when it's released. I also have an Orange '70 Boss 429 on order awaiting delivery in the same time period.
According to the guy from Motorcraft it is going to be the production car, but who knows. It is silver in color with a sun roof type T top effect hatchback. Spare tire is in the rear area with red interior. It is distributed by The Beanstalk Group Item# 10035.
Yea, that's the concept car. There is also one of the Red convertible being produced. The 2005 Mustang will look similar from the side, no glass roof, but some photo's released last month show very different front and rear fascias. I'm sure it will take a while after the '05's hit the showroom before a model of actual production car will be released.
