I have a 1999 Sentra GXE with the little 1.6 litre engine.
I'm cheking the tranny and transaxle oil capacities to determine how many ounces of an additive to put in them. It appears that they use a shared pool of oil. Is this correct?

If you're talking about the 5-speed maual transmission, then yes the transmission and differential are one unit that takes just over 3 quarts of gear oil. The capacities are in the owner's manual. I used BG Synchroshift in my 1.6l Sentra with 5-speed and it works very well. Good luck. Al
