Hi folks I know this is a recognised problem on the 205 GTi's but I wondered what the cure was, if any. It's the 1.6 engine. Basically, it sometimes idles ok at around 1000 rpm but most of the time it hunts around 1000 and dips right down when dipping the clutch, sometimes dropping so far it stalls. I've been told the cure is to chip the ecu but thats about 300 quid and I only paid 235 quid for the car! Is there any other solutions? Cheers all.
