'04 Bonneville GXP reviews?

Been thinking of trading my '05 Aztek towards an '04 GXP. Anyone driven one? Any reviews?

Haven't driven one, but IMHO they are w a y overpriced as far as msrp goes. Aren't they close to $36-37? For a Pontiac...NOT. On the other hand if you are getting a good year end deal, maybe. I honestly can't see paying more than 30 for that car, there are so many other choices in that price range. Lexus, Infinity, 300 Hemi.

Test-drove one back in May, when there were screaming deals available for GMS-eligible (employee) pricing (could have got it for $25k+TTL):

Pros: awesome brakes, great-sounding exhaust Cons: stiff ride (18" wheels), plasticky interior, not-so-great acceleration

I own a first-generation Oldsmobile Aurora, which is my favorite GM car ever. Thought the Bonnie GXP would be the closest I could get to the Aurora in a new GM vehicle. Wasn't impressed with the 275 hp NorthStar, didn't care for the bouncy-bouncy-bouncy ride or the cheapness (pseudo-carbon fiber)/cluttered layout of the interior. The ride may have just been the roads I was on/the particular car I test drove.

I did love the sound, and the brakes were awesome. Handling was pretty decent, too. Seats were very comfy (came from the last-gen Aurora :-)

At the price I could have purchased it for, it would have been a good deal. But, I chose to hold off, and ended up with a fire-sale GTO (with amazing acceleration, and one of the best GM interiors ever. The GTO does have a firm ride, but that's to be expected in a sports coupe - and it still rides better than the GXP I test drove). Very happy I waited...
