2000 G.P. GT stalling

Last couple of days the engine has stalled twice while idling at a traffic light. Once it started right back up, the other time it took a few times (although seemed to crank fine). Today, the thing just quit going down the highway, although seemed to start just fine after pulling over and letting it rest for 30 secs. Could it (please) be something simple like the battery going out? Anyone else experience this? Thanks.

My 2000 GP has demonstrated a similiar problem for some time now. The engine will stall, or sometime studder while in motion. It has always restarted immediately. When it studders but doesn't shutdown, the tachometer goes to zero and stays there even though the engine is running. At the same time this happens the Trac Off light illuminates. Shutting down the engine will correct both the tachometer and trac off light problem.

The dealer performed GM technical service bulletin # 000604049 but that has not cured the problem. This service bulletin corrects a wire bundle chaffing problem which can cause the type problem you are experiencing.

Update: 4 days in the dealer shop.....they could find nothing wrong; no error codes, nothing. Did not die for them in 65 miles of driving it.
